MARINE RECYCLING CENTER
For an ocean free from plastic
Plastic waste as a resource
Sotenäs, which is one of the worst affected municipalities in Sweden, has started our country's first marine recycling center. The aim is to see marine plastic waste as a useful resource for more sustainable consumption. According to research reports, there are around 150 million tonnes of plastic in the world's oceans. In 2018, Sotenäs Municipality collected more than 32 tonnes of marine plastic waste from the municipality's coastal area.
Products made out of 100% ocean plastic
The marine recycling center provides us with sorted plastic collected along the west coast's beaches and oceans. Our upcoming products are made out of 100% recycled ocean plastic.
